[RESOLVED] running mame in windowed through game ex?

hello, I was trying to run mame in windowed through game ex. I set the windowed 1 in the .ini file and launched mame itself and it works fine.

When I launch it through game ex it disregards my setting and puts it back in fullscreen.

it is the same mame, I triple checked it and even ran another application to check that game ex was accepting my corrections

I tried looking through the game ex settings and tried a few things without any luck.

can someone let me know if there is a way to do this.

Run the GameEX Setup Wizard and find the Advanced MAME Settings. In the box that says MAME Options make sure it doesn't say -now and instead have it say -w
