I don't know if it's there, and if it is I can't seem to find it. I'm looking to set the point in which the video snap shots will start recording.

on gameex config under Enable/ Disable Features you should see "hide Create Snaps" change that to No

this should show create snaps on the left hand side if you already have snaps i should continue where it left last

hmm your right ,its on the start menu under gameex

or run "C:\Program Files\GameEx\GameEx.exe" -createvideos

from run on the start menu this will make mame videos for all the roms in

if you wanted say half or a selected few to record copy the rom's you want into another DIR and set it as your mame rom dir while you recored then set it back after

hope that helps duno what i was thinking last post lol

Okay, noob question here:

If I run the command "C:\Program Files\GameEx\GameEx.exe -createvideos" it will create video files of every single game in my specified MAME roms directory?

What kind of files does this create and how big are they? Where are they output to? Also, are these gameplay files (similar to the attract mode stuff)?

Sorry for the questions but my curiosity is peaked.

it will create the snaps to the video Snap Path set in gameex Config mame Basic Settings

there a couple mb each the file type is *.mng, they are record of usualy a demo of the game some are blank screen's depends on the rom file some just sit there with inert coin,

for a full set will be easyly over 20gb and will take a long time, probly faster to download if you can find a source for them

more info when you run the command, on a do you want to continue Messgae box

Hmmm....

Okay so as a test I created a temp directory and pointed Gamex to that as my rom directory. I put a single rom file in that directory and then tried to use the command to create videos. GameEx launched and then I got the warning dialog box about how long it would take etc. I clicked okay and then got nothing.

I know that I can launch the game from withing GameEx. Is using the create video command a "registerd user only" feature?

Also, I unistalled Divx and got FFDSHOW instead.

It basically looks like GameEx is launching and then closing down without doing anything.

Any advice?
