[RESOLVED] How do you configure the built in Pinball FX launcher for the Football Tables?

How do you configure the built in Pinball FX launcher for the Football Tables?

I can point to the location on the grid but it just lauched the last foottball table played.

You may want to give a little more detail about how you are trying to launch? Via the built-in Steam Pinball FX2 support within PinballX or are you using Time's Nukelauncher for Pinball FX2? If you are using Nukelauncher, then you will want to ask here.

Draco,

I set up not using Nukelauncher

I'm using the built in support

All tables work exepct being able to select different football tables

I give it the grid location but its that same for both tables

If you are using Pinball FX2 (Steam version) then you do not need to use the grid system as of quite a few versions ago. Can you please provide copies of your pinballx.ini, log.txt, and pinballfx2.xml files so we can take a look at them? OK, the problem is in how you have Pinball FX2 setup. You need to change to the following by opening up your pinballx.ini file using Note Pad and change the [PinballFX2] section to look like the following:

Draco I made the change but when I open either football table I own it will open the last run table only

Example

When I log into pinball fx directly and load football zen

both shorcuts through pinballx will load zen

When I log into pinball fx directly and load football arsenal

both shorcuts through pinballx will load arsenal

Hey Chaser,

your "Game Names" within your XML are wrong. They must be named as the table-files in the steam-folder to work properbly.

(e.g. "Game Name" for "Sorcerers Lair" must be "Citadel"... and the corresponding "Game Name" for "Epic Quest" is "Looter".)

The Description name is what is displayed and that is fine to leave as is. But Jannek is correct regarding the Game name matching the actual table name.

Hopefully that will be of help to you. My descriptions are my own for how I want them to display in the menus, find the associated media files, etc. But the game names (table names) are set in stone for everyone.

As a newbie to Pinball FX2 and Pinball X, what are the 'grid position' values for please?

They are for use with the Steam version of Pinball FX2 {when not using loaders such as Nukelauncher) in establishing a link between PinballX and the grid location of the Pinball FX2 table on Steam. If you load Pinball FX2 via Steam outside of PinballX you can see what I am attempting to describe.

With the current integrated support for Pinball FX2, having to point to the grid is no longer necessary if using the settings noted in this post. Trust me when I say you will not want to have to use the grid system if you have lots of Pinball FX2 tables!
