Hey amos, what program do you work with? I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0. If you use photoshop too, I have a few images for ya... if not, I can make them transparent png's like you have. Let me know.

I've been working on getting my own hires pics too, but since you beat me too it, I'll give you the ones you're missing, ie; N64 and SNES. I have 2 versions of the SNES.

Amos ol buddy...

I was about to start working on the Emulator Configurations section on my web site, and I was wondering if it would be alright if I used your emulator icons that are packaged in he Alpha Blue theme?

I intend to break the configurations down by system, and your perfectly sized snaps would be awesome for navigation purposes...

ie - click on the Nintendo picture to access the emulator list for the NES console.

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Hansolo -

Im using Photoshop 8; im a bit behind :) Yeah i'd love to see your icons, it drove me crazy trying to find those 2, Turbografx was the other one i couldn't find. Image shack might be the easiest way to get them to me, + that way others can have a peek.

Adultery -

Sure, go ahead & use the emu icons, its a good idea, should make it easier to find the right configs. I'm kinda ashamed to say i've only got 6 emus setup!

Amos, you rule! I actually have the NES and SNES images as illustrator files, so you can do anything you'd like to them. Here's a link: NES/SNES Images. I'll probably only leave this on the server for a day or two just because of bandwidth-paranoia. If you need anything else, let me know!

Sounds good Han, but some some reason i've never been able to download from RapidShare, always fails for me.

There's a better free site though, its called filesend.net allows you 250mb instead of rapid's 100mb, you can email files, or create a download link. Its a cool site, no membership, or fee.

- Matt, you got skills buoy! Quality stuff :)

To be honest, those aren't mine. I'm not sure anymore who made those or where I got them. I am currently in the process of converting as many of the ones you supplied into a vectorized format for easy scaling and really hi-res images. File sizes are pretty big as quality is more important to me than the space they take up. Here is one example: Sega Master System 2.ai. (Although now I look at it again, this one is going to be redone) I have actual "work" work to do today, but I'll try to get as many as converted as possible over the weekend if anyone else would be interested in having them.

I just found a whole bunch of really good pics here:

Amiga 500

Commodore 64c

Amstrad CPC 464

Sega Mega Drive [PAL version of Genesis]

Sega Mega Drive Model II [PAL version of Genesis]

Atari 1040STF 16-bit computer

Commodore 64

Sinclair 48K ZX Spectrum computer

Commodore Amiga 500, 16-bit computer (Different background is all)

Commodore Amiga 500, 16-bit computer (Different screen and includes joystick)

The guy that made these (Bill Bertram) has a few others in his "gallery" including some logos, and Motherboards if you'd be interested in those.

Some nice images Han,

I think im done making backgrounds & icons for a while, the alphas are finished now, some more emus have been added, there's now 46 emus included in the themes:

NINTENDO - Gameboy, GB Advance, GB Color, Gamecube, N64, Nes, DS, Snes, Virtual Boy . ATARI - 2600, 5200, 7800, Jaguar, Lynx.

SEGA - Dreamcast, Gamegear, Mega Drive, Saturn, Sega Mega CD, Sega Mega Drive 32x, Sega 32x + Mega CD Combo, Master System, Model 2.

SONY - PS2, PSX, PSP

OTHER - 3do, CD32, Amiga, Colecovision, Commodore 64, Daphne, Dos, Intellivision, Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket, PC, Pinball, Videopac g7000, Videopac g7400, ScummVM, ScummVM Lucas Arts, Spectrum, turbografx, XBox, ZINC

Bearing in mind that each emu had to be made in blue/green/red...thats alot of time  ... so its defenitely the final version of the theme, (unless changes to gameex's make it unuseable).

The themes have been repacked and should be around in a couple'o days.

+ theres new instructions in the pack, about how to add the images in the theme.ini:

CustomBackground=snes
StartPageLogo=snes

Downloads:

Alpha Blue - Complete Emu Pack.zip (12mb)

Alpha Olive - Complete Emu Pack.zip (11.9mb)

Alpha Red - Complete Emu Pack.zip (11.2mb)

I love the theme (using it right now), I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it before or not, but in the intro movie "Initialization" is mis-spelled. I had to turn it off because folks kept bugging me about it:-)

Lol, i know what you mean, small things can be annoying. I've used the British spelling, i think others have asked for the USA version, so i'll see if i still have the files to knock up another video.
