hauntfreaks
out of laziness I've always just used static table and backglass images... I do love that fact I can do this right in PBXbut how do I direct PBX to put these images to their correct folders within PBX??(ie, tables go in the tables folder, backglasses go in the backglass folder)seems if it can put them in the correct system folder it would/could put them in the correct sub-folderwhere do I enter the correct path?? Draco1962
We have a thread for that kind of Feature or Enhancement request, however, you will have to break that laziness habit and find it. I am not a total ass and will give you a clue: PinballX Pinned and Hot Topics.
hauntfreaks
so is this your cryptic way of saying this is "not" an option but again would need to be requested as an option??
Tom Speirs
If its not a feature request then the issue is you need to put more effort into communication of your question. As the author I really have no idea what you are asking!
Draco1962
Correct! We have the thread for that very specific purpose. Thanks!
hauntfreaks
uumm what?... I was ask a question if this option already existed... the same as my first question I asked.... I'll break these downnothing I have asked so far on the form was a was a requested feature.... these were questions for help.... if the answers to these question are "these features do not exist" then, these become feature requests.... am I wrong?... where did this all go awry? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PBX has a Screen Grabs (screen capture, screenshots) option <---this i knowit puts these captures in folders, (Screen Grabs and Screen Grabs Backglass) <---- this I knowcan I designate or modify where the Screen Grabs go? <--- this is/was my question~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PBX has a category menu <---- this I knowit sorts the info in this menu by the default XML we create, llike (year, manufacturer, type) <-----this I knowhow can I add categories to this menu (i.e more years, manufacturer) without making custom XML files <---- this iswas my question
Tom Speirs
I simply didn't understand what you were asking but I can see now. Neither are currently features in PinballX.
Tom Speirs
PS: I guess I should take it as a compliment that folks think the software is so powerful that its likely an option.
hauntfreaks
PS: I guess I should take it as a compliment that folks think the software is so powerful that its likely an option.right??.... lolthanks for the reply
Draco1962
SInce you explained it in further detail, it appears that you actually had two questions - one regarding putting the screen captures into the respective folders, and the second (which was not present at all in the OP) regarding adding additional categories. If we respond that this would be a Feature Request, then that lets you know right away that the option does not exist and we have an appropriate thread for such requests to post in as much detail as possible what you would like to see.You have to admit that your OP was not clear on the details although I was able to determine what you were referring to for your first question after re-reading it several times. My response was out of that frustration of having to do so.We really do like to help our members, but they have to help us a bit by being as concise as possible with the details of their questions or errors being reported. hauntfreaks
no each question had its own threadand in each thread i was told these were requests not questions.... when infact they were questions
Draco1962
The answer to your questions was that these are feature requests as what you are asking for doesn't exist. Sorry if I am not following your logic tree here.
hauntfreaks
just for fun I will explain....you walk into your favorite bakery, where you always buy a glazed donut... they have delicious glazed donuts...mmmmbut today you have a hankerin for a chocolate eclair.... you walk in and look around after not seeing said chocolate eclairs, you ask the question "kind sir do you have any chocolate eclairs"the worker behind the counter replies "my good man, we dont have chocolate eclairs"......you say "thank you"now the story could end there or it could continue like this.... worker: "but if you would like to add it to a request list for the baker, the sheet is over there"you: "thank you" lol
Draco1962
There was no need for an explanation, as I "got it" long before. Your first post in this thread was not clear and I make no apologies if you were offended or felt slighted by the responses you received to your question, but it was answered. If you want the functionality, then post here with along with your other suggestion. Moving along now.
