About twenty years ago I was playing a game called Silver, then Windows XP came out and I installed it. Since Windows XP Silver has never really been able to be played on a computer. I am using Gameex to create a kind of game museum and Silver was a good game that should be represented.

I have had luck with this and other games like this in VMware running Windows 98. Is there a way to set Gameex up to play these titles through VMware or something like that.

I even have the GOG version of the game and it doesn't play on the newer Windows Operating Systems. I don't know if it would be possible to have a windows emulator open up and start the game by setting it up to do so in Gameex but I would like to know if that or something like that can be done.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Thank-you

You would be better off using DOSBOX. It would not be practical to launch a Windows 98 VM from GameEx.

I would agree with this. Likewise I'm pretty surprised by the OP's comments that the GOG version isn't cooperating on newer Windows operating systems. I've honestly had very few issues with GOG games, outside of a few resolution settings and whatnot. The GOG page for this game reports that it works on everything from XP thru Win10. It might be worthwhile to put out some feelers in the GOG forum for the game to see whether there are any additional hoops that need to be jumped through. GOG has a pretty great support community, particularly for weird game related issues like this.
