Alpha Paging main gamelist on Gamebase64

Hi Guys,

Is someone having the same issue as me when Alpha paging through the main gamelist of the Gamebase 64 package? I cannot scroll more than the "A" letter and next move will get me to the last entry of the list. If trying the other way around I can scroll till the letter "T" and then I get on top of the list.

I have noticed that when reaching the "A" the pointer highlight a gamename Aanimuistipeli with a strange caracter on top of the first letter (Ӑ) so could be this one which gives problem?

I have enclosed the Log and Gameex ini.

PS : when Alpha paging the sublists by year/publisher/catergory it will work ok.

I will have to check again, but I don't recall having any issues alpha paging with either Atari 8-bit or Atari ST Gamebase with the latest GameEX versions.

Hi Draco,

I am running also Gamebase ST and no issue with it. Only Gamebase 64 is having this problem with the main gamelist.

No never since the first time I installed it under an older Gameex version. Now running the latest one but still no luck.

The number of entries of the gamebase64 list is very high, around 20000 games so do not know if this may be a trouble.

You may have to reconfigure GameBase itself, coz you'd need to filter all them roms before you pass them through GX. GameEx uses the GameBase DB's after you have already configured them. So you'll need to configure/use filters of the gamebse first, before handing it over to GameEx.

The fact that you mention 20k+ entries tells me that you need to utilise the GameBase filters first of all, to get your entries down to a reasonable level. Once you have done this, then i have confidence that GameEx can take over =)

I seem to recall it was one of the largest. Have you acquired the latest version and what emulator/version?

I am running the latest Gameex build 14.35. The gamebase version is the last one available 1.3 and the gamebase 64 package is the version 13.

The C64 emulator is CCS64 3.8.

Are you able to search and launch games via GB64 outside of GameEx?

Yes no problem if I launch games from the Gamebase GUI.

Also note that scrolling the game list in Gameex with normal up and down scrolling will work. Problem rise only when scrolling in Alpha Paging mode.
