Yeah, I think it must be getting a corrupt a download for some reason. Can you check what version number it says you have.

It downloads it to here: C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\AutoUpdate

Can you check that file?

Thanks,

Tom

I think the download must be getting cached. Although it shoulnd't be.

What is the modified date of the file?

Are you using a proxy server? Who is your ISP?

Tom.

I think your ISP is caching it. Lets try and trick them into not doing that :)

Can you please replace hideos.exe with the attached and let me know if it fixed it.

Thanks for your help Michael.

Thought it was just me!! Same thing happening..no matter whether I run the new version of GAMEEX or try to update, once launched, GAMEEX looks to update and just hangs, or says it has updated, but when launched again, seeks to update.

Can you try the patch above.

the update system works fine for me, although it looks like its hung at stage 1/2 .. a progress indicator would be nice please Tom if you get time.

also interesting, that it's different from running an update from the installer - the language setting for example is kept (good!).
