Black Mage
Hi Everyone! Hopefully this is an easy problem. I've mapped a PC game to GameEx which loads, but it brings along with it around 20 extra files that are showing up on the menu. How can I set up my GameEx to not show these files (ex: EULA.exe, etc.)?Thank you!
Draco1962
I am not at home where I can show you how to do this properly and my memory at the moment isn't too sharp, but, in a nutshell, what I have done is created an emulator slot named PC Games. On one of my drives, I have copied shortcut files (i.e., gamename.lnk) of my PC games to it. With the proper configuration of the emulator settings, GameEx will display the shortcuts as a list and launch them from the shortcut path. This is useful in that I only need to use one emulator slot at a starting place for launching all of my PC games via GameEx.Unless someone else beats me to it with an example of the gameex.ini file section for a similar setup, you'll have to wait a bit for me to get home and get situated so I can share a screen capture from within SetupWizard, etc.
Black Mage
Thanks. Would the command line be game.lnkand the working and rom paths both be the paths to the shortcut?
Draco1962
Actrually no. Here is an example of how it is presently setup in my system from the perspective of the gameex.ini file:[Emulator_1]Enabled=TrueSTARTPAGENAME=PC GamesTITLETEXT=PC GamesStartPageLogo=PC GamesWorkingPath=H:\ROMS\PC GamesRomPath=H:\ROMS\PC GamesROMFilter=*.lnkCommand=""[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]""SnapPath=H:\Assets\PC Games\SnapVideoSnapPath=H:\Assets\PC Games\VideoPlayInScreenSaver=FalseMergeSets=Falseimagenotfound=C:\GameEx\THEMES\Smoked Glass\MEDIA\LOGOS\No_Image.pnglastgame=CustomBackground=PC_Gamesbak.png And here is a snap within the SetupWizard: In this example, I have copies of my PC Games shortcuts (or .lnk files) saved to H:\ROMS\PC Games. As you can see, I also have utilized the Snap and Video paths for my games as well. In order show the desired display name, I had to rename some of the shortcut files and ensure that any snaps or videos match the same file name as the .lnk files. I hope that helps.

Draco1962
Great game! Got it for PC and Xbox. Nice thing about this setup is that you can load all your PC games through one emulator slot, or if you want to get creative, you can setup additional slots by genre, just a different directory to store your shortcuts (you can use the same paths for your snaps and vids, however). Draco1962
It may be possible but I don't see to what this has to do with what the OP was requesting.
