[RESOLVED] Questions & Epsxe / pcsx2

Recommended Posts

Hi

First of all i have searched and all i have found was old threads regarding custom config which wasn't discussed in the detail.I have got gameex running now i'm trying to set up console emulators within and i'm having some trouble namely Epsxe and Pcsx2 per game configuration..

- I have tried to custom config with ps2lunch and pcsx2bonus neither worked for me the second one gave me error when clicking on exe ? The lunch was just not user friendly to configure and did not worked for me..Aren't here any more alternatives when it comes to per game setting in playstation emulators ? Any suggestions ?

- Than i have tried to config Epsxe with epsxecutor and i have created two profiles wich works within the app but i can't for sake make a shortcut for them as usual on desktop ? I can only export config as reg ? What's the correct procedure ?

- Also i have previously set up Dolphin and Demul all is running fine but when i exit the emulator with ESC there's long delay and after that when going back in Gameex everythin is incredibly slow as if it's cahing files ? I have decent CPU and plenty of ram but HDD is only Sata II ? Is it slow hdd or maybe bad config ? Because when i exit PS2 emu it navigate back and forth really fast just snapy ?

-Apending log

Thanks

Hi wman,

When you have a moment, please so post a copy of your GameEx.ini (or your individual emulator configs for these emulators) in addition to the log you've already posted. The log gives us a bit of information about your PCSX2 Lunch config, but your settings will give us a lot more information. I've never used PS2Lunch, but I've had fantastic luck with PCSX2Bonus. PS2Lunch has some supporters around here though, so they might be able to assist with your PCSX2 woes.

Here are some instructions for setting up ePSXeCutor in GameEx (also check out the posts that follow which describe how to properly create shortcuts for ePSXeCutor).

- Also one more thing instead of opening another thread ?? I would have gladly hear a setup for dolphin per game setting if it's possible ?

Let's keep it one issue per thread, please. This makes it easier on those trying to help with the initial issue and easier for the next user to find a solution. Thanks!

On the whole, PCSXLunch works OK for me. There's different approaches you can take - mine does invovle changing file names, but it's no biggie. However, if I rememeber correctly, you can also batch create .exes if preserving your filenames is necessary. Made a setup guide here if any use:

http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13947-pcsx2-setup-with-individual-games-settings/

There is one drawback I'm still to revisit, but it also applies to PCSXBonus as far as I know. It's around PCSX2 updates including updated plugins - think you have to go through your games list updating all the settings. Of course, with a bit of time and coding, sure this could be worked around.
