Hi

In WinUAELoader you can choose to run a game in fullscreen, windowed or full-window. If I run any Amiga game in WinUAELoader in fullscreen or full-window, the audio of the game is distorted. But if I run the game in a window, the audio is not distorted. Weird huh?

I updated the audio drivers but that did not help. I also changed some audio settings in WinUAE but nothing helps. Anyone a suggestion?

UPDATE

I have two speakers in my cabinet and one of them broke down a while ago. Can it be that this has something to do with it?

Thanks Draco, you made me search in the right direction.

In WinUAE I selected DirectDraw instead of Direct3D (under Miscellaneous > Graphics API). That does the trick for me. The sound in WinUAE is now good.

The audio problem is not fixed yet in WinUAELoader. Somehow WinUAELoader keeps overriding the WinUAE config file so it uses the Direct3D again. The 'Overwrite Configs' checkbox in WinUAELoader must be checked or unchecked? I find it bit confusing...

The problem is that WinUAE does not autom. load the config file that has the correct Graphics API setting. Of course this also happens when WinUAELoader executes WinUAE.

How can I autoload a config file everytime WinUAE starts? In the config sections of WinUAE there is a autoload option but I cannot turn it on. In the Host section there is also an autoload option, but there I cannot load or save config files.

So, I have the audio problem resolved by changing Graphics API setting in WinUAE.

Meanwhile I also resolved the WinUAE / WinUAELoader config problem. Whatever I tried, I could not get WinUAELoader to load the WinUAE config file I created. Eventually I resolved this by changing the 'WHDload.uae' file in the Data folder. This is the file WinUAELoader uses in every case. In this file I added the line 'gfx_api=directdraw'

This solution is a unorthodox I guess, but it works for me.
