OK, I have an odd setup... BG mon is sunken in cab and set to 1080:1370. (First cab posted here...)

I upgraded pc an went with win 8.1. Tables load fine in vp but b2s errors in pbx. Mostly on old itchy vp8 tables on match an game over calls etc...

I don't remember but can remove and re-install gtx660 in old pc to see exactly where I had these set, I didn't think it mattered... I have mon 1 t-boning mon 2

same table loads fine outside pbx, even just dbl clicking file!

Any ideas...?

Sadly my problem has returned! I stand by my original solution as that was a repeatable issue with the LED Plugin the way I had it configured.

AS of last night I am getting the same error as before only nothing has changed with the Ledwiz setup.

I have made other big changes though:

- Installed Zeb's Digital Plunger with Analog Nudge - tried disabling it in Device Manager and deselecting it in VPinball settings and still get the same error so I don't think thats the cause (Also cleared all Joystick Controls in PinballX).

- I did experiment with using pinmame inside the frontend, I gave up on that and put it back how it was config-wise.

SO I do not know why any time I try something different I have to go back to the drawing board on this error though I am glad at least one other person has seen it.

I'm about to throw in the towel here. Looks like my choices are go back to win7 (just paid for 8.1 so not likely) or back to Hyperpin unless anyone has any other ideas...

I too am at a loss here. I can try to install pbx on a win 8.1 system to test I suppose as my cab is win7 so not much help sirry

Good news/bad news Hyperpin works fine.

I miss pbx, save me Tom!!!

I'm completely unplayable on all my favorite tables right now. If I get some time I will take one more crack at a fix before I give up on Pbx... so put me down for some saving too!

I think I just assumed we had the same problem. Does your issue resolve at all if you run the db2s in "standard" mode? Mine does but the performance hit is too much to consider this a solution.

What we have in common for sure is zero issue outside of PBX.

Do you get a script error?

I'm stuck in a hotel tonight. Might have time to try some things remotely but am definitely limited in what I can do. If I have any revelations I'll certainly share.

I'd be encouraged if someone out there would chime in and confirm they have no issues with windows 8.1, ledwiz and PBX working together.

Tom pm'ed and said he'd look at it, Woo-hoo!

Standard mode doesn't help me and yes I get script error on some, hkey error etc...

Hopefully there's a 1.96 with our name on it soon!!!!

Made some progress on at least my issue, perhaps it will help you too.

Uninstall Shark007 or whatever Codecs you've added. In my case it solves my problem completely.

Unfortunately none of my Attract mode videos work now so it isn't a real fix per se but at least I know the issue is Codec related. This is very much not my area so I'll be watching for any suggestions. I've already tried the K-Lite pack as well as custom options like deselecting LAV at install. I do not know enough about how PinballX works to really narrow this down but I will try a few things if I learn anything else I'll post it here. I suspect I won't be able to beat this one on my own so may just run HP until I see a new version of PBX to try...

Update: Reinstalled the Klite pack, went into the advanced options, selected FFMPEG instead of LAV wherever I could and Microsoft where FFMPEG was not an option. Rebooted. Works fine at the moment, I'll let you know when it breaks.

Update: Breaks itself eventually, I played a few tables in a row today - eventually I start getting my error on every table, a reboot solves it for awhile. So I guess from that I conclude some resource isn't being released properly. I give up. I will live with it I guess.

If you updated your version to 1.97, please supply fresh pinballx.ini and log.txt files so that Tom and others can review. Thanks, guys.
