I have a 3 screen setup (working on it) and the backglass images that come in the hyperpin media packs show the DMD when I don't need it to. Is there a setting to just show the image without the DMD and speakers or do I have to find a different image? I am not talkig about when the game is playing but on the game selection screen.

Thank you.

I appreciate the inclusion of the game list manager and find it useful. However I really can not figure out what the hide DMD and Hide Backglass check boxes are doing. Doesn't seem to change anything during game selection or game play.

Thanks

I took the liberty of merging the two threads Backglass Images and Gamelist Manager as they are really one in the same issue you are reporting.

When reporting a possible bug or error, please submit a copy of the following files so we may quickly assist you - pinballx.ini and log.txt (Click here for additional information on how to find these files and others that may be required).

I did not think I was reporting a bug, just trying to find out how things are supposed to work. Here are the files requested.

No log file was present.

Having a copy of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files helps in non-error reporting as well, just in case there is a recommendation to be made based upon your setup

Anyone able to answer my questions?

Thanks.

Nope, not yet. Here's a clue.. .it is a hoilday weekend. It can take a few days to get an answer, or longer sometimes even without a holiday. Patience, Grasshoppah!

short answer you need a new image. Or you need to open each image with a grill in Gimp, Photoshop and crop out the grill area.

this is why I like making my own media,

I downloaded all the videos from the FTP when it was free and noticed that the media was not matching the files I was using (Or needed).

I was running dB2s files and I had images and videos from UVP files.

I was running Version X table and had a video capture from a Version Y table.

in your case;

you need a 3 screen video/image backglass capture but you downloaded a 2 screen backglass capture.

Appreciate the response I figured that might be the answer but just wanted to be sure as the B2S back glasses can be done either way. Unfortunately not all of the available images or better yet the back glass videos have a non DMD video. Haven't looked into what is required to make my own yet. I really like the videos for table selection, and you are right it is much better if it is from the same basic table you will play.

Do you know what the hide DMD and hide backglass in Game manager are doing? I can't seem to see any difference.

Thanks again.

hide dmd and hide backglass just mean to hide the static or video images, that you were seeing during the table selection, during game play. *Normally* it doesnt matter if you hide them as the real dmd/backglass will show up and overtop the ones that were shown during the menu mode.

I find it is nice to hide them since the menu videos may be a bit bigger or wider and show around the edges of the game while I am playing it.
