Some backglass videos showing up all black

Having a strange issue with a few future pinball tables backglass videos. I only have a handful of maybe 10 or so future pinball tables. I have backglass videos for all but one table. Many tables give me an all black screen rather than the static "pinballx no media" on my backglass. For some reason alien legacy works, but nothing else does. Dark knight, masters of the universe, poTC, goonies all black as if trying to load something. Files are named properly and the videos play from my media player, I've tried downloading then again and renaming as well. Even when I select hide backglass or not in settings, same result, alien shows but everything else black. Anyone tell me what I'm missing...

As this involves videos, it will be helpful to note what codecs, if any, you have installed. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay in my response, your response reminded me to download sharks codecs, upon doing so all the videos show now, but only the future pinball ones have no audio. I don't know where to look to learn what to tweak on sharks codecs. Alien had working sound before but now it's silent. Any advice is appreciated. I believe VLC is set as windows default, should I try wmp?
