Hi Tom

I fired up my cab tonight (it's been a while) to do some general maintenence. Finally installed Star Wars LEGO which I bought ages ago and is really well suited to a 2 player cab.

Anyways, while I was there I updated to latest GameEx (5.99). Loading time seems a little slower than usual but I appreciate the amount of work GameEx has to do to initialize so I'm not that worried about it.

Now, I have my cab locked from having EXIT because too many people accidently press my left red button which is assigned to ESC. So I press CTRL-ALT-DEL to do the usual Run->explorer.exe thing (BTW if there is a nicer way to exit GameEx without using ESC please let me know) and an error came up. I exited GameEx and re-run it a few times and again same error keeps popping up when I press CTRL-ALT-DEL. I've attached an image to show you the message.

I mentioned a while back that I was getting aliasing issues with fonts including a line on the top of some capital letters in the title text, so to demonstrate I have attached an image. I have my resolution set to 1280x1024 if that helps in any way.

I went into the News menu today in GameEx (I havn't even fully explored all the features yet!) and was really impressed that I could read the RSS feed from the GameEx site. Brilliant! It even has links back to the GameEx page, and even allows you to navigate a webpage using the arcade controls! Another awesome feature. Now, I have a request in relation to this, before I realised you had this feature I had a link in "Games & Programs" that launched IEXPLORE.exe for browsing the web. Is it possible you could add a menu item somewhere that has "Launch Internet Explorer Browser" and goes to a page of choice (in my case it would be Google) that opens the web so you can use the arcade controls to browse the web. I have a keyboard on my cab so typing a URL is not an issue.

I'm looking into the two issues, but you can simply add web sites in the config as web applications.

Both issues now fixed and in v6.00 now available. Go grab it.

Thanks for letting me know about this. The exception was a BIG issue. GameEx was basically doing no exception checking in the main loop. I have a conditional compile variable that turns off the exception checking to make debugging easy. Problem was I left it turned off!
