Draco1962
@Tom - here are my log.txt and gameex.ini fileslog.txt gameex.iniI am signed into Origin and have 8 games installed and playable from my Origin My Games section. Here is an exerpt from the log.txt file:18:01:08.1 9/2/2014: Checking if Origin enabled18:01:08.1 9/2/2014: Cannot find any installed origin gamesAlso, I noticed a prompt when attempting to update from GameEx right as the installer was starting to install that read "Rolling back changes..." I am not sure if it is an issue with the autoupdates on my end or if anyone else has encountered this. I was able to install it via download. nullPointer
I can confirm similar behavior. I am signed into Origin but I only have one Origin game installed. I have a similar log entry to what Draco describes above. 18:56:11.3 9/2/2014: Checking if Origin enabled 18:56:11.3 9/2/2014: Cannot find any installed origin gamesI don't think I had a rollback message from the installer though. At any rate here's my support files.GameEx.inilog.txt
Tom Speirs
Do you think I could teamviewer your PC Mike later? Will be quickest way to take a look.
Draco1962
We could give it a go. I won't be home until after 6PM EST and not sure if the wife has plans for dinner after that yet, so it may be late your time.
Tom Speirs
Okay. We will give the manual way a try. I will need the following: A list of the contents of the folders in C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent The .msft files in the above if they exist. List of root folders in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games (Or wherever your Origin game install path is) C:\ProgramData\Origin\Logs\Client_Log.txt An export of this registry key and below. Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\OriginGames (Wont have Wow6432Node if not 64 bit windows) installerdata.xml in __Installer for each of your installed games. If any of this does not exist please let me know. Please supply.
Tom Speirs
I did find an issue if you are not using the default install path for games. Is that the case? The attached will fix that particular issue.GameEx.zip
Tom Speirs
Forget that. I've just released a new full install. Please try and let me know results. It should definitely find the games but may not get accurate meta data and media.
Draco1962
I will give it a try this evening. Like probably many others, I don't use the default install paths for many of my games, so hopefully this will fix that. Thanks Tom!

Draco1962
It discovered Origin and displayed a partial list of the games - I own: Battlefield 1942, 2142 Battlefield Deluxe Edition, Battlefield 3, Dead Space, Need for Speed World, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies GoTY Edition, The Sims 2 Ultimate CollectionDisplayed: Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 3, Dead Space, Need for Speed World, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies GoTY Edition, The Sims 2 Ultimate CollectionHowever, the snaps for Battlefield 4 show up for The Sims 2, and no sign of 2142 Battlefield. Here are the Client_Log.txt and log.txt filesClient_Log.txt log.txt
Tom Speirs
See if the attached fixes the Battlefield 3 issue. You will need to delete \media\origin and \data\origin.ini before launching it. As for the game that is not showing please provide the information I requested initially for that game and look into it a little. Thanks. Tom Speirs
Actually that won't help with the sims 2. A search of origin.com does not find the game. Not much we can do about it. So we just need to figure out while that one game is not showing up.
Draco1962
Here is the Battlefield 2142 reg and Installerdata xml files as requested.installerdata.zip
Tom Speirs
The attached will fix the Sims 2 showing the wrong artwork. It basically wont show any for that game or any games not found on the store. So that is fixed. We just need to figure out why that one game is not showing up.GameEx.zip
Draco1962
I deleted the folder and ini as you suggested and installed the latest gameex.exe. The incorrect snaps and info for Battlefield 4 no longer shows for The SIms 2. No game bio information nor snaps show. I can launch it via Play This Game, however. Tom Speirs
That is the correct behaviour as they no longer have that game on the store. The attached should fix the missing game but again it looks like that game is no longer sold on the store. Let me know.GameEx.zip
Draco1962
Battlefield 2142 still does not show in the list and I now have double entries for Dead Space. Both entries launch Dead Space as well.
Draco1962
Yeah the Sims 2 and Battlefield 2142 are from their monthly freebie offers. Presnetly they are offering Wing Commander III which will probably also not show up.
Tom Speirs
Actually, whether its currently in the store or not is unrelated to this issue and it will download data and media for Wing Commander III as it is "currently" in the store. I think the attached will wrap things up. Cheers. Tom.GameEx.zip
Draco1962
I noticed that the map file showed two entries of Dead Space so I deleted it along with the orign.ini and the Origin media folder. I also removed the origin (emu_1003) cache file to be certain. Everything is good now - no duplicate entries, and Battlefield 2142 now shows. Its a shame that the data/media doesn't show for the freebies no longer in the store, but I know you can only work with what EA Origin provides. Thanks again!

DazzleHP
Provided Origin is working OK, can we see a similar feature for Uplay? I realise how cheeky that request is, but i can't help myself - you just deal with stuff so quick, i got a wave of selfishness heheheh
