CHD Game - Problems with audio skipping

Hi folks - I recently started messing with CHD rom files. I have a 2-3 hundred of them. They load fine but when I play they are almost unplayable. The audio is garbled. Is this caused by some thing I have set wrong? Not a really big deal because I may just turn off the CHD's if I can't resolve it. Was just curious.

Many variables could cause this but hard to guess without knowing what MAME build you are using, knowing if your CHDs match your build, and what ROMs you have tested. There is likely an extensive list of them that are not playable or imperfect, etc.

Also bear in mind that many CHD's are bundled only because they exist, not necessarily because they run. A lot that do run are flagged as imperfect, or worse. Also there are quite a few that are actually laser disc games, which typically need way more power to run than Daphne does, so your system may simply not be up to the task

I am running Mameuifx64 .154 - I also have the Daphne game series and they run great so I think my processor is ok - it is a small ITX board with an AMD CPU. I will probably not worry about it. Thanks for the info.
