There isn't one. Most of us have figured things out by backwards engineering existing themes and asking lots of questions.

Might be best to merge this thread into the Theme questions thread...

Ok, then. I've been working on a Vertscreen version of "My games for MCE (widescreen)" for my cabinet and a Custom version for my HTPC. Been wondering a few things, thought I'd ask as I couldn't find a tutorial.

  1. is there a way to change where the default position of the text that appears next to the buttons when viewing the controls? I've modified the Picture to work (see pic below) but the buttons are in the default position, not matching my panel. If I can move the text positions then I can use my own Panel.
  2. Is there a way to specify different layout positions, eg. picture 1 and picture 2 positions, on a per screen basis. For example (see attached photos) on the start screen, Image 1 displays console/system logos. In the mame screen, Image 2 displays marquees. On my cabinet (pictured), I would like to put the marques in the place where the time and date are currently when in the mame screen, but The system logos also look good there on the start screen, but that is Image 1. So I would like Image one there on the start screen, but image 2 there on the mame screen. Can this be done?
