Theme and other questions

Hi

I am keen to try out the GameEX FE, but I have the following questions:

(1) Is there a theme available or is it possible to have a theme (something similar to the old FE – ArcadeOS), which allows:

( a ) Full screen snaps OR Full screen videos (ie. emu movies videos)

( b ) Games lists centred on the screen on top of the snap or video with the selected game somehow highlighted in the centre of the screen OR Games lists at the edge of the screen on top of the snap or video similar to the Hyperspin wheel list with the selected game somehow highlighted.

( c ) Ability to use the Hyperspin game wheel images for the game list in ( b ) above.

(2) Does GameEX FE also allow for favourite games to be selected from a main games lists into an favourite games list? And that the favourite games list can be launched as soon as GameFE starts?

I'm not familiar with ArcadeOS, but i can answer a few of your questions:

1a, Yes, can be done in GameEx

1b, Yes, can be done, although won't look like Hyperspin - it will look like GameEx

1c, No, because GameEx is not Hyperspin

2 - Yes, absolutely, although to have it "start" may require "unconventional" means, but viable absolutely.

You've no doubt seen what is coming, and for that i cannot comment (out of the loop i'm afraid) but GameEx itself is way more powerful than it's given credit for, that i can vouch for.

1c, No, because GameEx is not Hyperspin

One of the listed features is the ability to render HS themes, so IMO that is incorrect.

Although I have to admit that GameEX is not Hyperspin.

Possibly, but the question started with "With the release of GameEX Evolution (Preview)?" so I assume he meant Evo, and not GameEX. Otherwise, it would be the equivalent of asking "Since I bought a new car, will I be able to play the piano?"

I was hoping that Game EX Evolution would support "wheel art" like Hyperspin FE does.

I am sure nevertheless when Game EX Evolution is release that it will be a great FE.

I did ask the question a while back on the Hyperspin forum if there are any other FE's that support "wheel art", and the response was yes, but no one could point me to a FE that did. Does any one in this forum know if there are any other FE's which can support "wheel art", and the name of the FE(s)? My investigations of many other FE's conclude that only Hyperspin supports "wheel art", but I would like to be proven wrong.

Since most HS themes involve wheel art, I believe that Evolution will also do so as well.
