I performed a cursory glance at his profile and his email address appears to be a business email. I wonder if they have filters in place that are keeping them from getting through to his corporate emai?

EDIT: It appears that other members have registered the same day and after without a problem so this may be the case.

Hi

I had to update the email address to my wifes Gmail account to get the validation to come through. I have all filters turned off so I've no idea why it's not coming through. I see that if I update the email to my correct one I will have to validate the account again which I can't do :/

Any way around this?

Is Draco correct in identifying your previously listed email address as a work/corporate address? If that's the case there may very well be a corporate email filter in play (I know this is certainly the case at my own place of work).

And if that's not the case did you check to verify that the validation email wasn't redirected by a "normal" spam filter? (i.e. did you check your spam folder or equivalent?)

I would recommend starting your own Gmail account for things such as this. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that can be done by us to override a company email filter. Usually it involves much more than removing filters and may require restarting your email server to put any changes in effect. Honestly, better to create your own email account outside of work.

His account is already authorized and active as a member using his wife's Gmail account. He can change his email address by editing his profile settings, however, this will not resolve the issue he is experiencing with receiving emails at his business email address.

Can I change my email address without having to validate it again if I pm one of you admins my current email address and the one I want to change it to?

Just as a fair warning, if the email address you'd like to validate has been filtering out email from the forum up until this point, it will likely continue to do so. That may not be a huge concern for you, but just in the interest of full disclosure, it sounds like using this email address will prevent you from receiving messages from the forum mail daemon.
