Theme Editor - Couple of Questions

After 6 or 7 years of use I have finally found had the urge to create / edit my own theme. Initially I am basing my edit on nexgen.

I was wondering if somebody could answer the following please?

1) Is it possible / how do you edit the font size for individual theme objects such as Date, Time & Menu?

2) What does the object "Description" show / do? It doesn't appear to do or show anything anything. I was assuming it would provide mame game info etc but that information is contained under the object "list"

3) Is it possible to add an image / duplicate an object on a specific template, such as favorites? Lets say i'd like to duplicate the object "image" on the favorites page and display the same image / video twice on the same page.

Not at this time. Possibly when GameEx Evolution is released later this summer.

Description is for the Pop-up descriptions. This is enabled/disabled via the Options section

No. Not likely to happen in Evolution either. You can post a request in the Enhancements/Feature requests thread.

I wonder whether it may be worth waiting until the new GameEx has been released?

Not sure, but there might be an updated theme editor as well.... just hate for time wasted if new version has more bells/whistles or compatibility considerations.

Will there be more bells & whistles.. you betcha! Is it a time waster to do something with the existing Theme Editor - not really. Keep in mind that the Theme Editor will change to accomodate the new features that will be released for the imaging, however, there are strong considerations for getting one's feet wet with the current version:

1 - Most images for a theme are created/manipulated/compiled outside of Theme Editor. Theme Editor is more often used for enabling select features, font selection and color, and arranging the actual theme elements and not the images themeselves.

2 - While there will be new features and capabilities within Evolution, working with the existing themes and creating new ones will give anyone dabbling a head start above someone coming into it with no prior experience.

I don't subscribe to waiting for something new to come out because the new thing might change or add something because you will almost always find yourself waiting and not getting anything accomplished as you well know with this hobby!
