Adultery
Thank you but I have a hunch this is isolated to Steam and I'll have to update the class I wrote for it.
nullPointer
Well that's quite the reversal!OK this time it actually worked with the Steam game, but not when I ran a standard emulator! The behavior is the same though regardless. So I start GameEx and start up a game. While the game is running I can Alt+Tab over here and see that my gamer tag displays as I would suspect (namely this image is displayed as the game snap). When I exit the game, I can jump back over here and all is still well. But when I exit GameEx, the text of the tag is still correct, but the game snap changes to my 'No Image Found' image as it is currently displayed. As I mentioned it actually worked via Steam this time around, but not when I ran Nestopia.Let me know if there's any additional helpful info I might provide, and I'll do so. B2K24
OMG I'm an idiot. I didn't realize it had to be checked in the plugin manager to be enabled. It seems to be fixed now.Sorry to bother.
Adultery
@Null: Yup thats the workaround I tried to use to fix the snap showing the last game before exiting. If you could do me one more small favor? Can you please post your plugin's settings.xml?@B2K24: No worries my friend!

nullPointer
This version worked every time, in a series of successive tests I ran against Steam and a couple of different emulators. Golden!Allow me to take this opportunity to say how impressed I always am at your ability to generate quality applications and rapidly address problem reports from users. You're a hero! Adultery
Aww thanks buuuuddy!Of course if I was doing it right, I wouldn't have released it with a bug in the first place.
Adultery
Game Tagger 1.1.0 is now available!Versions prior to 1.0.9 are now officially not supported. Please update your plugin to continue using it.Fixed a bug (for real this time) where the "Last Plaed" snap was not shown properly when GameEx exits (Huge thanks to nullPointer for helping with the testing!)Huge improvement to the backend communication with the DracLabs Game Tagger site:Now uses the new DracLabs API for communicationInitialization is now handled with one query instead of severalAdded new donor check for future development which will reward users that donate to the projectA lot of code optimizations in many ways, includingFaster wildcard parsing and variable replacementMore efficient uploading of tagsBetter checking for image changesSmoother integration with the jukeboxMore accurate image searching for SteamOther changes that I can't remember offhandSo a couple quick notes... There is now a version check in place so versions can be cut off from the system if I make a really big code change. Currently the cutoff is version 1.0.9, meaning nothing below that version will work.I added a special field to the database for donors and intend to do something special with that data in a future update, both on the site and on the tag itself. Stay tuned for that. I noticed the load time has been decreased a great deal with the optimizations I made, and I wrote a new DracLabs API that I will start using for any future comms with DracLabs and my projects. After this has been tested I will put it out to the public finally, I'm pretty confident that it's working the way I want and stable. Thank you to everyone who helped test it out!I think that's it... You can get it from the usual place.
nullPointer
Awesome update Adultery! Thanks for your continued support of this great plugin. B2K24
I have a question, but I'm not sure if it pertains to GameEX or this plugin. I just used the latest MAME 0.156 right when it released and I'm seeing now in my snaps and titles directory there is a directory created name NOT FOUND that contains .ntf files of the set names that have no artwork associated with them ---> http://imgur.com/3ttx2k9This is really COOL! but I don't know which software is responsible for this and not it has me curious.I notice it doesn't do this for videos and if w/e is doing this could gain that ability it would be extremely useful for filling holes in ones setup. If anyone knows what is creating these .ntf files please tell me! Adultery
I would guess that it's GameEx integrated download support or Snap Utility. It's not me doing it for sure, but that gives me an idea for a plugin...

B2K24
I'm having a weird problem where the Game Tag resets itself if I execute a shutdown in GameEX. If I leave GameEX running the tag updates properly and uptime is correct when I'm switching games, but as soon as I shutdown or close GameEX the tag and uptime information resets.I can't remember if this behavior started happening when I updated GameEX or installed latest version of the plugin.http://imgur.com/hVkJJIKhere's what's in GameTagger.log8/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : GameTagger Plugin (Version: 1.1.3)8/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : Diagnostics: Begin system enumeraion...8/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate8/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : Version: 6.1.76018/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : Build: 76018/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : Total RAM: 6136 MB8/8/2015 12:31:52 PM : Available RAM: 2280 MB8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : CPU: Intel® Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 7608/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Video Driver: 9.18.13.50128/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Video RAM: 2048 MB8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Sound Card: NVIDIA High Definition Audio8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Sound Card: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : .NET: .NET Framework 2.0 Installed8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : .NET: .NET Framework 4.0 Installed8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Diagnostics: System enumeraion completed successfully!8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Loading XML...8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Getting user data...8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : 14.34 INITIALIZED OK!: GameEx8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : Checking for network connectivity...8/8/2015 12:31:53 PM : DracLabs server was found! Adultery
Hi,You're a version behind. Total uptime is for the session. It should start over when you restart.
B2K24
My previous forum post was made after I played a game and had GameEX running for over an hour then I executed a shutdown. I never restarted GameEX and it wasn't running after the hour session.Anyway, I downloaded GameEX 14.33 and did an install. After playing a few minutes and then executing a shutdown in GameEX, I noticed in windows task manager that GameEX_Background.exe *32 continues to be running.I'm not sure what you mean I'm a version behind. Everything looks like I have the latest releases available.
Draco1962
You will need to download 14.34 and install it that way as Tom had made a quick fix and did not announce it or set it to automatically prompt an update.
DazzleHP
*14:34 as mentioned there was a silent update (unannounced) to fix a few things You can also wait till the next official update if you prefer, the officials tend to have many more updates at once. B2K24
Sorry, I meant I did download the latest version which is 12.34http://www.gameex.com/download-gameex/I was mistakenly calling it 12.33 because gameex.com has that as the latest version listed.Anyway, after install of the latest version when I execute a exit gameEX shutdown command in GameEX I notice a black screen for about 2 seconds and then it disappears from my task bar.In windows task manager the background service is still running.I believe some changes in a recent version of GameEX is doing these problems as I've never had anything like this happen before. Adultery
It's because GameEx is running in the background. You can disable it and try again if ya like... GameEx Live > Run In Background

GameEx Live > Run In BackgroundThanks so much!Having that specific setting enabled was causing all sorts of problems here.Tag is now showing last game played and correct uptime after a GameEX shutdown. Thanks so much

nullPointer
Hi Adultery!Hey I changed my forum password a few months ago, but I neglected to change my password in the GameTagger configuration utility at that time. I finally did so today, but my GameTag is still failing to authenticate my account (as seen in the log below) I'm pretty positive I've missed a step somewhere, but I'm not sure what I need to do to get everything synced up once again. Do you happen to have any pointers to set me back on the right track?
