Mame rom names

Hi All,

just need some quick help, if i go into my emulated games section and choose MAME all my game names are showing as the rom file name,

if i go into ALL games, they show up as the actual game name, is there away to have my mame section show the actual game name not the rom name?

Please do submit a copy of your settings and log as Draco suggests, but just to venture a guess it sounds like you have MAME set up as a "standard" emulator rather than using the integrated MAME functionality. Unless you're also using custom menus MAME does not appear in the Emulates Games list. So it will likely be advantageous for you to go back and setup MAME through the dedicated MAME Settings screen if that is the case.

i think your right, when i set mame up i used a different setup rather than the in built one, is it easy to transfer between the two?

Easy? Yes. Transfer? No. In other words it's relatively easy to set up MAME through the integrated settings, but You'll need to do so from scratch. Actually I'm willing to bet you'll find it easier to setup MAME via the integrated MAME functionality than it is to set it up as a normal emulator.

sorry for my late reply, i have been away for a few days, i'll reset up using the intergrated settings, i am guessing i can just repoint to the roms etc...
