I had this happen to me last night also. I exited PX and adjusted some tables just through VP then I added a table using Game Manager and after saving and exiting Gm and closing VP I launched PX and it crashes "PinballX had caused and error and needs to close Press ok to continue." I clock ok and it sends me to desktop without a task bar. I restarted explorer and copied the log below.

Any thoughts?

It does not crash like that normally so I am not sure what I did wrong.

I too was having some odd behavior after installing 1,77 but I was also doing that gamer tag and figured it was related to that...

I should add that it's been fine after few initial lock up's at first and is still saving nvram

Ok PBx stopped responding after a reboot this morning ... looks like a .net problem maybe

Here are the logs and config .... Same as above except it was a fresh boot for the day. I have PBx to run with windows and it ran fine for 2 cycles of the attract mode wheel then locked up ... had to ctrl, alt, del to end pbx and restart explorer ... that is when i noticed the .net in above photo ... not sure if it is related but figured I would mention it.

Funny as I had the same thing happen to me on boot up yesterday twice but the cab had been moved, tidied and cleaned so I just thought it was a USB issue or something. It seems to be fine today though. If it persists let me know.

Hmmm you know what there was a update I applied last night but I did run the cab after ... it was only for malicious software ...

It has been running fine since ... I get to play off and on all day and I have exited and started pbx up again with no problems.

Thanks Tom

Is strange, upgraded a couple cabs...all were acting the same...locking up ect after upgrade but they all seem fine now last few days..one cab is not online so can't be relate to windows update. Can it be related to actually saving nvram and just took a few exits of locking up to actually play nicely with vpinmame? I should also say I am running non official build of vpinmame not sure why that would matter but thought I would put it up for what it's worth.

Thanks tom! So nice to have volume and high scores saving!

Strange things I guess because not a single hiccup in the last 2 days. Consider this one closed.
