Setting up some 8 bit computers emulators in Gameex

Hi,

I've gone through a lot of old posts here but could not find anything helpful.

I am using Gameex in a Mamecab machine together with the Mame built GroovyUME148. This built combine MAME+MESS with an extra feature where the correct resolution is picked up for the best possible experience with a CRT monitor.

I have already set up a lot of old consoles and 8 bit computer but I am failing now with the last one I would like to add in the system.

My main idea is to use MESS as much a possible whenever the emulation of the system is good.

I would like to add the APPLE II, ZX SPECTRUM and TI99/4a emulation.

As far as I know the MESS built 148 is emulating correctly the TI99 but unfortunately I really do not know how to set up MESS and Gameex to have this working (note that I am already using MESS succesfully for other consoles like NES, COLECO, INTELLIVISON, ATARI 2600). Same problem with APPLE II.

Any chance to have a good tutorial on how to set up those two systems using MESS? I know user HanSolo has a lot of system already running from his side so hope he can read this post.

For the ZX spectrum and due to his impressive library I would like to run the Gamebase built (I am already using Gamebase for the C64, Atari 800XL and Vic20). [REDACTED]

Thanks :)

Rick

I use GameBase for practically all my 8-bit computers. There's a lot of problems with MESS that I just don't like dealing with. When it comes down to it, all you really want is to play the games, and GameBase works great for that. As for where to aquire.. thats a no-no. :)
