Gregzkij
Hi.I have just created 54 different DMD videos that's shorter, loopable and without washed out colors than the ones previously released. After feedback I raised the brightness and contrast somewhat. They are attached in this post and also uploaded to the FTP (Other Uploades/Pipshag).I'd also like to point out that theese captures are in 256 x 64 and would perhaps have compability with any DMD-screens. Since I don't own one I have no idea about the technicality behind it so no guarantees. Since vPinmame automatically adds padding I have cropped down the videos to meet the above mentioned pixels. This also means that you may have to adjust PinballX DMD positioning with 2-3 pixels. For those that want to recreate and add some own videos, see the below specs.List of tables createdAdventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends (Data East 1993)Airborne (Capcom 1996)Apollo 13 (Sega 1995)Attack and Revenge From Mars (Bally 1999)Black Rose (Bally 1992)Cactus Canyon (Midway 1998)Champion Pub (Bally 1998)Cirqus Voltaire (Bally 1997)Congo (Williams 1995)Creature from the Black Lagoon (Bally 1992)Demolition Man (Williams 1994)Doctor Who (Bally 1992)Elvis (Stern 2004)Fish Tales (Williams 1992)Flintstones, The (Williams 1994)Getaway - High Speed 2 (Williams 1992)Gilligans Island (Midway 1991)Guns N' Roses (Data East 1994)Independence Day (Sega 1996)Indiana Jones The Pinball Adventure (Williams 1993)Johnny Mnemonic (Williams 1995)Judge Dredd (Midway 1993)Junk Yard (Williams 1996)Jurassic Park (Data East 1993)Lethal Weapon 3 (Data East 1992)Lord Of The Rings v2 (Stern 2003)Medieval Madness (Williams 1997)Monster Bash (Williams 1998)NBA Fastbreak (Midaway 1997)No Fear-Dangerous Sports (Williams 1995)Playboy (Stern 2002)Red & Ted's Road Show (Williams 1994)Ripley's Believe It or Not (Stern 2004)Rollercoaster Tycoon (Stern 2002)Safe Cracker (Bally 1996)Scared Stiff (Williams 1996)Shadow, The (Midway 1994)Simpsons Pinball Party, The (Stern 2003)Sopranos (Stern 2005)South Park (Sega 1999)Star Trek The Next Generation (Williams 1993)Star Wars (Data East 1992)Star Wars Trilogy (Sega 1997)Stargate (Gottlieb 1995)Starship Troopers (Sega 1997)Tales from the Crypt (Data East 1993)Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams 1996)Terminator 2 - Judgement Day (Williams 1991)The Addams Family (Midway 1992)Theatre of Magic (Midway 1995)Twilight Zone (Midway 1993)Whitewater (Williams 1993)Who Dunnit (Bally 1995)World Cup Soccer (Midway 1994)vPinmameColor 255 88 32Intensity 88% 50% 20%Antialias 0%Width 259pxHeight 67pxVirtualdub PostprocessingBrightness & Contrast +2% / +125%Cropping x1:1px | x2: 3px | y1: 2px | y2: 2pxCompression Microsoft Video 1 (keeps down the filesize without washed out colors)DMD Videos (54).zip

sigma415
Hi Gregzkij, thanks a lot for your DMD videos. Now that PBX 1.81 supports Real DMD I installed them yesterday on my pincab with PinDMD2 and Vishay DMD.All videos ran without problems on my DMD, but because they were captured in orange colour for the use with LCD screens, the contrast was somewhat poor on the real DMD.So I transformed your MP4 videos with VirtualDub into gray scale and also reduced the number of brightness levels. The results looks really great now on my DMD. I will post a video of the result later on.My VirtualDub was only able to generate .AVI files, but they are same in size and play in PBX without problems. So my question to you:Is it OK for you, if I post the transformed videos for Real DMD here in the forum and also on the FTP server ?And BTW: Which capturing program did you use to capture them out of VPinMame ?I want to follow up with more DMD video captures :-)Thanks a lot :-)
Draco1962
Have you tried Tom's Video Converter yet? I have used it with great success in the past.
sigma415
Video converting is not the problem, and Tom's Video converter does not capture videos ...
Draco1962
True, it doesn't capture videos. But if you prefered .mp4 format to .avi it does a pretty good job.

I captured the videos using Hypercam and VirtualDub to process. Watch out with converters, most of them wash out contrast.

Carny_Priest
Hi, open6l and Piggei kindly granted me permission to upload some select DMD videos that I processed for Pinball 2000 style cab designs. I used AVIDemux to apply a filter to vertically flip the image. I tried to retain quality by selecting the same encode protocol as the source file and enabling the highest quality options. If an audio track was in the source, I stripped in out. All files are saved in an MP4 container. There are not many flipped DMD videos at this point. Maybe when I finish my build, I'll come back around to add some more and perhaps include some captures of my own.
