OK, so this will be the first and only time i update one of my own scores - i'm using it to practice getting to grips with my new duties and i don't want to mess someone elses :P . I think it's just ethical that after this either GC or Han still update my scores :)

This one should be quite beatable - the game is actually rather easy once you get over the noisy in-yer-face style :D

Good job! I played this game for a little bit, but it's actually pretty hard for me. I don't have an arcade cab, I'm playing with a "joypad" and it tires my thumb out way too fast!

I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret.

Blazing Star was our Shmup of the Month in January over on the Racketboy forums. It had one of the largest turnouts (as far as particpants) in its 2-year history.

That being said, scores were fiercely competitive.

The following new score I'm submitting is not even close to what our highest scorer got. That being said, I did better than what I managed over there.

Make sure to get the LUCKY charms ;) they give nice bonuses for not doing much (if you grab all 5) :D They always drop from the small fast green and purple ships that come in groups of 5 (or is it six? lol). Be careful though because you can destroy them before they come on screen which leaves getting the charm a bit tricky! ^_^

This is good enough for me. Horizontally-Scrolling Ship-Shooters aren't my forte.

Yeah I wish I had an arcade stick controller. I would probably be better. I can't shoot fast enough with my thumbs to make it worthwhile. Good score though!

Might be your settings some where. Or maybe you were running something in the background taking system resources? I don't remember this being choppy for me. All I remember is the insane amount of shooting and my lack of thumb power to keep up! :)

Heh it ain't 7mil, but it's better than mine. I can't get my thumb to move fast enough!

That is some good shootin'! Side scrollers are tougher than vertical shooters, I find.

Yeah there's a bit of slowdown which can be distracting especially when trying to get a rhythm during the boss fights. I still love it though!
