Yes. I have had some issues with Calibre as well with the meta data being pulled. What I have had to do was rename the ebook and then perform another search to pull in the meta data and covers until it populates with the correct info (or near enough to what I have in my collection). I have not explored any other plugins so just use the built-in application scrapers at present.

Some of the titles I have are originally EPUB format that I am converting to MOBI for use with my Kindle, so there may not be a direct equivalent available via Amazon, hence the lack of a valid hit by the scrapers.

Regarding Calibre plugins, I will say that the Manage Series plugin is an absolute winner. Many of the books I read take place in a series, so being able to easily and quickly manage series configuration within Calibre is awesome.

I'm trying out a couple of the other meta-data scrapers (specifically FictionDB and Goodreads), but it seems like most of the good hits come from Amazon and Google anyway (or else the others are close duplicates). So for now, it looks like it's a matter of digging into the books themselves to pull (or verify) accurate information, bibliography style.
