I am not sure why it shows up that way when I run the verify at the end of the wizard. I have it written this way in the .ini file ( "C:\HiScoreUpdater\HiScoreUpdater.exe" -type 0 -mappath "C:\GameEx\Map Files\HiScore Competition.map") and it mirrors that in the wizard. However, when I run the verify it shows up with the two quotes bookmarking the whole thing and says it does not exist. Yet it does the update at startup, as I cas see the window populate and disappear. The file is also updated in the Map Files folder each time I run gameex. I tried to take a snapshot in from the MAME section of gameex on Mario and it did not work. Then I realized the high score on the top was different in MAME then it was in my high score competition emulator. That leads me to believe I have two working roms for mario or something. I will pick a different game and take a snapshot tonight when I get home. I didn't have a chance to get deeper into this morning before leaving for work.

I also noticed that in the instructions, it says RunOnStartup=....., but I have been putting the line in LaunchOnStartup=... Am I putting the line in the worng location. I could not locate a RunOnStartup. I just figured the text had been changed.

UPDATE: I have yet to try the -mfile switch! I just saw that it was different when I was reading the post again. I will try that and update. Thanks!

I really think it might just be a problem with a rom. I was reading the other thread on snapper and it looks like you built in a way for it to only to take snaps of the included roms for the competition. I was first using the emulator I created to show high score included games, which was not working. I read above that you said you can only operate the snap while in the MAME portion of GameEx, not while you are in a different emulator. Is that true, even though you are using MAME.exe for the run file in the emulator?

I also realized that my high score while playing Mario in the emulator that was created was like 79500. Then when I went into MAME on GameEx and played Mario in an attempt to take a snapshot there. I realized that the high score was now listing on the top as something in the 69000 range.. Which leads me to believe I must have two separately working romset files for Mario in my rom file. I really never thought to try a different game in the competition to see if the snap would work there. Partly because I am biased to mario, but mostly because my technogical testing ingenuity is not stellar! I will try some more troubleshooting on my end and get back to you. I apologize, as I think I just needed to look further into your original posting on the plugin.
