shanti
I have a weird problem, I recently installed Higan as my SNES emulator, after a very hard time to configure it to see and play my ROMs (but thats another story) but now, the "Last Played" (or Most played? the list that appears on top of the ROM list) games don't appear, I noticed this also happens with Nestopia, but all my other emulators work and do show the "Last Played" list.I made sure the option was setup for all of my emus on the .ini but still no go. can anyone help me out? I was going to try and delete the database and start from scratch but I REALLY don't want to do that.emu_2 is nestopiaemu_16 is HiganThanks, and happy new year Edited January 2, 2014 by shanti
Adultery
I think the game needs to be run a certain number of times before it appears on that list, but Tom would need to confirm.
shanti
on all the other emulators it appears when I run it at least once, the most played appears on top, but ones I run just once appear on the list as well (I think the top 10)
shanti
been trying for a few more days, and I still can't get them to show :S anyone else have any ideas? I am about to delete the whole database, but I feel that should be unnecessary
Tempest
I think that there is a setting for each emulator to 'Show last played'.
wahoo
I have noticed the same issue. Most emulators I have setup show the last played above the list of games. There are a few emulators that do not show the last played games. Toggling the setting "Show Last Played" in the setup wizard to On/Off does have the effect of whether the last played game shows up in the main menu under "Last Played" but does not control whether it shows up above the list of games in the emulated games section. After looking at all the emulators that are having this issue I found one thing in common they have 26 or less roms in the roms directory. So does this setting only work if there are a certain number of roms in the roms folder?
Adultery
If it is significant then it's a bug and probably should be addressed. :-)
shanti
If it is significant then it's a bug and probably should be addressed. :-)Well it might be a bug, but not sure how to reproduce it, my main problem are only 2 emus, nestopia and higan, both of witch have way more roms than 26. I am not sure if a "fresh" install will also have the same problem, I haven't tried because I spent so much time configuring GameEx to run the way I want it, I am scared to delete the database and then have to start over
Adultery
Can you post your data.db3? I'll have a look at it.

wahoo
I have confirmed this has nothing to do with the data.db3 file by copying a data.db3 file from a fresh install of GameEx. I have confirmed that this does have to do with the number of ROMS in the ROMS directory. I confirmed this with the following stepsAn emulator that was having this issue: Bally Astrocade has 26 roms in the roms folderAfter overriting the data.db3 file with the one from the fresh GameEx install I went into GameExAll the favorites and last played were gone for all emulatorsI selected Bally Astrocade from the emulated games list and launched a gameAfter exiting the game I verified the game was not displaying above the list of Astrocade gamesI exited GameExI added 112 roms from another emulator into the same directory as the Astrocade roms folderI went back into GameEx selected Bally Astrocade from the emulated games list and there was the last played game at the top of the list. I did not need to launch it. It was already there.I exited GameEx deleted the 112 roms from the other emulator, leaving the original 26 Astrocade roms in the roms folderI went back into GameEx. The last played was missing from above the top of the Astrocade games list againThinking it was a theme issue I tried several different themes and all of them have the same issueI did not try to see how many roms it would take to make the last played show up at the top of the list. I don't know if this is by design or if this is a bug.
