Winvice 2.1 + Vic20 Gamebase with Gameex

Hi,

I am using Winvice 2.1 with Gamebase to run the VIC-20 emulation with the in-built gamebase support in Gameex.

Everything is running pretty fine except one annoying thing : In full screen mode Winvice will still display the top menu and I do not want it to show up. Is there any trick to get rid of it?

I have tried also Winvice 2.4 but it does not handle low resolution optimaly for athe best experience on my mamecab machine with a low res CRT monitor.

You may want to submit a copy of your emulator cinfiguration file. Please submit a copy of your log.txt and gameex.ini file salong with it. Refer to this link for additional information.

Have you tried running the emulator outside of GameBase to see if you are able to configure it the way you want to first? I've found that helps a lot when trying to get the fullscreen switches to work just right with emulators. I don't have the Vic20/WinVice emulator to try it with you, but I promise you: If you can make it work in standalone, it's 99% working with GameBase after that. The only trouble with GameBase would be to make sure you have the GEMUS configured with the proper command line to execute the emulator in the correct configuration.
