Hi guys i am really new to the world of VP. I have been trying to get my first table going and sar for was going good till i hit a speedbump. When scrolling through table the backglass lines up perfectly as i set the resolution to the monitor. However when i launch the table through visusal pinball the back glass is off center to the right. If i try to change position setting in setup the backglass isnt right in the scrolling menu. Anyone know any fixes for this?

Secondly is there any giudes on how to get animated background working via direct.b2s ETC.

Thanks for the help.

Edit* the second monitor is a 19inch 1440x900 that i will eventually use for the third/dmd screen when i get the cabinet going could the aspect ratio/reso be the problem?

Ok so playing around with it a bit, if i set up so the second monitor is to the left of the primary it is all fine however, now the dmd won stay on the second screen as it reverts back to the primary.

What version of PBX are you running?

If you run the table just from VP, move the dmd to the second screen, exit and come back in.....does it revert back?

I beleive its version 1.69 the latest from the site. In VP if i have the monitor extended to the right of the primary it does not revert back although the backglass is half visable. If i have the 2nd monitor to the left of the primary it reverts back every time although now Pinball fx works correctly. I am going to pull my hair out.

Thank you for replying.

We need to troubleshoot the latest version as it contains bug fixes and enhancements to the previous. It is advised not to revert to a prior version as a workaround as this can delay fixes to the current.

Please provide a copy of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files, in addition to any details about your system (number of monitors, OS/version, codecs, etc.) so that the author can review for additional troubleshooting and possible fix. Thank you.

I also experience the off center backglass image. It starts when the game is launched. This wouldn't be a visual pinball thing?

Anybody find the answer to this yet?

I had the same issue in FP.

Changing the order of the screens in the windows settings solved this problem

I've got this issue and I'm sure its a screen order issue. How do I change it? The table image is continuing on to the backglass screen. I have a dual monitor set up.

my monitors are set up in the proper order, in Windows.. I am still getting the back glass image shifted to the right and a continuation of monitor 1 on the 2nd monitor.

Can you post your:

Video Options settings under VP (Preferences --> Video options -->just the Mode and video rez)

Your screenres.txt file (usually under x:\vpinball\tables)

Your pinballx.ini file.

Thanks Censored for the link.. Maybe thats my issue? I'm not running any backglass servers right now. Was using HP, then installed pinballX today.. Both front ends were doing the same basic thing so I figured its a config setting somewhere. I was trying to do a minimum install to get things working, then start adding bells and whistles. Guess I'll install B2s and see if that works.

I'm using 2 pc monitors right now, but the res is set higher on the desktop than in the file. I'll make the change and go from there.
