Hi all, I'm new to Pinballx and I've just downloaded latest version.

It starts with the first configuration but after closing it, Pinballx.exe doesn't start

Sorry for this newbie problem, but I'haven't found any "first step by step user guide"

Thanx again

My pc is Windows7 x64 with core2 Q9400, 4GB, Geforce GTX260

Hi,

Please post the log. You will find this in My Computer or Windows explorer in C:\pinballx\log by default.

However, its most likely a video card driver issue. Are your video card drivers installed correctly? Are they the latest versions?

There's no log because clicking on Pinballx.exe it doesn't start

Setttings, Game Manager..works fine, but Pinballx.exe not.

I've the latest drivers from Nvidia

My specs:

Win7x64

Intel Core2 Q9400, Zotac Gtx260, 4Gb ram, external usb audiocard Edirol Ua4fx

If no log is being generated, then it could be an access rights issue and the OP does not have write permissions to the share it is installed. Just a guess.

@Monnezzas - Please try uninstalling PinballX and reinstalling it from a fresh download from the site and report back. Thank you.

Ok Tom,

sure..there's no log at all, not even the folder log,

Draco..I've uninstalled and downloaded a fresh installer, then installed in a different folder (C:\Games\Pinballx) after the first setup, Pinballx.exe doesn't loading and even in the task manager process list there aren't any Pinballx process running

in my pc the UAC is disabled

Draco...Nothing Changes, I'd even tried the compatibility mode in WXp sp3 but nothing!!

strangely Game Manager.exe and Settings.exe works fine

do you ever hear about an Nvidia issue? because I've tested Pinballx in other system with Ati Radeon

This sounds like a strange issue to me. I am not really sure right now. Have you disabled any services on the system, or are you using a customized windows install?

There is an ongoing NVidia issue with Windows XP but PinballX is still almost fully functional with the issue.

Don't know what you mean with "custom windows install" it's a normal windows 7 x64 ultimate edition with a standard wpakiller

official and latest nvidia drivers and..

..I'm always connected to internet

@Zeenon

I never used an antivirus, Firewall is integrated in the router, maybe some ports must be opened?
