[RESOLVED] Slow startup

Hi all - I am trying to figure out why it takes so long for Gameex (which I love!) to start up all of the sudden. When my wireless connection is enabled it takes forever to get past the Mario start up screen. When I turn it off it doesn't. So after a little research I found out that Gameex is most likely scanning something....maybe music. What do I need to disable to narrow it down. I already went in and turned off what I thought might be affecting it. I would like to leave the wireless on because I remote into it at times.

You might wanna attach your log.txt and gameex.ini so the guys can have a look and see. ;)

Here they are. One note when I turn off my wireless the music does not play on startup - with the wireless on it takes a while to boot up and plays an annoying song that I can only silence with the 0 key. :)

Thanks a million for the help.

Not sure what to tell you. Are you running with integrated graphics? My guess is that your machine does not have quite enough resources available to keep up with whatever wireless card you are using, GameEx, etc. Unfortunately, your log file cannot tell us much. You may want to check in Task Manager and utilize the resource monitor to try to make a better determination of what is bogging down your system.

Ok, thanks. Can you tell from the INI why it plays music on startup? I can turn it off with the 0 key but it is annoying. I have went in and turned off everything that looked like it may be the reason.

Can you see the "loading..." blurbs at the bottom of the screen? Maybe it's getting hung up loading a database or something somewhere. I'll tell you, I have like 75 systems on my machine, and it takes about 2 minutes to load up.. so if you have a lot of stuff, that could be a part of it. If you don't, looking at the logs and the screen while it's "loading..." can go a long way to figuring out what part of the load up is taking so long.
