Custom Zoom in DVD?

Like you Tom, I have a widescreen projector....

As you are aware there are I believe non-anamorphic DVD's that have the black bars built into the picture, although your zoom improves the situation(16:9 stretched). I still get smaller black bars.

Is it possible to alter these zoom ratios or add in your own custom zooms?'

Or is this something you might look at in the future?

Perhaps even if you know a workaround...I guess you do not see black bars?

Is this to do with resolution?

Oh, btw.....if I use zoomed it is pretty much perfect but I lose a little bit off each side...wnough to make it not worth it though.
