KRC
I don't usually watch that much TV but I really enjoyed this yesterday and I'm looking forward to the next episode. It was a little more gory than I anticipated but it's all good. I've always been a fan of Stephen King and this program has made me like him all the more.It was aired yesterday in the UK, no doubt the series in the US has already been shown. hansolo77
Under the Dome has been airing in the USA for a few months now. From what I understand, it was just a summer filler, mini-series, going to be done after the last episode. I haven't watched it but my Dad has been and says it's really good. Adultery
Yeah it's great. We watch it every week.

DazzleHP
"I'll take a side of beef, please..."lol! Which side though is the question I watched it KRC, after 4 dam weeks of it being advertised nearly every break - you know what channel 5 is like and i liked it enough that i am now up to ep-09 I too am a Stephen King fan and not much of a TV fan but i always make a point of checking his TV/movie adaptations. This is definitely one of the higher production ones and i'm thoroughly enjoying it! As a fan i'm sure you'll agree that Mr King has a very unique, if not messed up mind when it comes to his sci-fi/horror imagination and Under the Dome is living up to my expectations so far. I've not read this one so i have no idea how it's all supposed to pan out but i sincerely hope that it doesn't follow the current trend of TV series coming out of the states - where one season gets made, gets cancelled, then leaves everyone hanging. I hate that. Infact its become such a fashion as of late that when i see a new "series" is coming from America i check online to see if it has been cancelled before i invest my time in it.No offence intended to you guys that live there, it just seems to be a trend lately that gets my goat
nullPointer
Under the Dome has definitely been on my radar, but I've not watched any episodes yet. It looks great, and I know it was reviewed pretty well in the States, so I need to check it out. My wife is also a pretty big Stephen King fan so it's probably one that we would both enjoy. Having said that, what little I know about it does always remind me of The Simpsons movie. I'm hoping there's at least some sort of Easter Egg to acknowledge this. I'm really glad that FX renewed The Americans for a new season, but bring back Terriers dammit! And the Sarah Connor Chronicles while you're at it (which went for two seasons but still ...) hansolo77
My favorite to bad mouth is FOX... Cancel Family Guy, then bring it back. Cancel Terminator and replace it with Jerry Springer... I'm really scared to watch any new shows because of the fear of cancellation. Mini-series though like this are ok because they're only intended to run a certain period to begin with, so the entire show should be there. Taken was a good miniseries to watch. It had a clear beginning, middle and end and wasn't cancelled. Same with like Dune (although Dune's acting was terrible). Shows that have a potential to be renewed for continuing seasons are the ones to watch for cancellations. And apparently the network exec's think the only popular shows are Reality TV. So good drama and good sci-fi gets cancelled right away. And it sucks, because GOOD drama and GOOD sci-fi has a continuing story line that when it gets cancelled it leaves you hanging. Maybe they'll tie up loose ends in a movie, but chances are, once done it's done. My favorite cancelled shows recently were The 4400, Invasion, Surface, Sarah Conner Chronicles, Dollhouse.. FRINGE... Eureka, Alphas, etc. I hate seeing good shows get cancelled because the mass population of the USA is ignorant rednecks who prefer to watch celebs act insane or people with no talent showing off. Uh yeah, if you had talent, you'd already be famous, you wouldn't need to be on a cheap tv show just to prove it. Celebs dancing..wow. Bring back Star Trek already. KRC
I'm still enjoying Under The Dome, Over the last couple of episodes though the suspense has died down a little bit, but I can sense good thing's coming from the next few episodes@HanI really want to watch The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I think I may have to borrow it from Blockbuster. It's one of those thing's I've wanted to watch but it always slips my mind.
hansolo77
Don't waste your time. It ends in a helluva cliff hanger enough to make you want to stop watching TV forever. Although you can't argue, Summer Glau is hot stuff.
nullPointer
Heh, yeah Han pretty much summed it up. Don't let that talk you out of watching the show though! It's a brilliant program (and at the very least it cleverly ret-cons that awful third movie completely out of the cannon - that alone is worth the price of admission ). Heck it's good enough that I don't mind just imagining what happened after the second season.
KRC
I just found out that one of my relative's has the Sarah Connor Chronicles DVD Boxset so I think I'll take it off his hand's for a short while.

nullPointer
Yes, I think we can pretty well guess what would happen in reality if a 15-17 year old kid was suddenly given a beautiful feminine cyborg that was there to follow his every order. I'm guessing that "Gee mom, we're just gonna go hang out in my room for a while," was a pretty common utterance at the Connor household. KRC
I had to Google "Summer Glau" Let me just say that I wouldn't say No.
hansolo77
LOL! You had to Google her? I google her all the time, just not in the same way. Seriously though, she's been in a lot of great stuff. She had a cameo on one episode of Big Bang Theory, and was also on Firefly, Dollhouse, Alphas. All of those were cancelled before their time too. Dollhouse will make you fall in love with Eliza Dushku if you weren't already.
