I can't seem to Auto download avisnap's

I'm sure this must have come up before. I did search the forums for "Auto download video' and Automatically download avi snap' but couldn't find a post related to my problem.

I have automatic artwork enabled in GameEx settings. I automatically download some art like snap png's and marquese and cabinets, but I don't seem to ever get any AVISnap files. The folder has remained empty except for files I put there myself. If I manually doload the files and place them in the AVISnap folder they will appear in the GameEx menu for the appropriate game, but in never seems to download automatically. I hate the idea of manually downloading each file independantly.

What am I missing?

Do you have an emumovies subscription? It will only download them after everything else is complete. Also it downloads MP4s not AVIs.

I registered an account with emumovies.com. I did not pay for a membership. I read that paying members had access to 480p movies where non paying users only have access to 240p. GameEx sets the default menu to avisnap, but I have been downloading mp4's from emumovies, and they are working fine. I did not read anything about needing a paid membership to use the auto download feature. I have let the program sit for hours downloading what I was willing to. I would periodically monitor my mame folder to watch it's size and file count rise, but after a while, it just stopped adding new content.

Yes sorry you need a paying membership for the ftp and download service.

Well, it's nice that I could auto download a lot of images. I can still download videos from their site manually, but What a pain to have to cross reference their downloads with my roms one by one.

Come pay day, I can highly recommend signing up if you have a few dollars. Its something that gets better all the time.
