I was talking to my other half yesterday and she started moaning saying I don't pull my weight around the house.

So she gave me something to do

If it's something I hate it's gardening, Give me anything else to do and I'm right on it, but come on this is uncalled for.

You need to buy a goat, or maybe two. Otherwise, you are the goat! :P

Btw, is that a man's leg sticking out from the grass?

I've no idea what's in there, it's actually alot taller than it look's (In some place's it's about 8ft tall grass and weeds).

Over the past couple of year's there has been Fox's, Huge Toads and Snakes.

ps. Draco I wouldn't be suprised if there was a leg in there  (It's been neglected for so long)

You need more than electric hedge clippers (which won't touch the grass anyway). I still vote for goats.

The hedge trimmer is just for the majority of the thorny bushes, I made an enquiry yesterday for a digger to come and rip the shitty turf out and then we can start the proper landscaping. £320 it will cost in total, not too bad but my Mrs didn't bat an eyelid with the cost because she wants it gone.

She has mentioned getting new rear fencing and getting some Duck's with their wing's clipped, and possibly a Pig

Recipe for effective weed removal.

Tools Required:

1 - Match and/or lighter.

2 - .50 gallons of gasoline.

3 - A smile.

If you get them, then all you will have is mud and poop. Better to tear it out, put in some new topsoil and either re-turf all of it or part of it along with some raised vegetable garden beds.

I just told her about the poop and she said "Oh yeah, let's not bother getting any then", Lol

Vegetable plot's are a definite for us, also maybe some apple trees, We have enough garden so why waste the area.

Throw away the hedge clippers, and get one of these:

Man I wish I had one of those! :)

@Krakerman,

I wish I could pay someone else to chop the bushes down but the Mrs demanded I do it.

I made a start yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, still a long way to go though :(

If he keeps at it with his wife's scissors it will grow in behind him. Should bought some petrol and a match like Celly suggested. :P

Im looking to get through the remainder of this by wednesday so I can start planning the vegetable plots and start fencing certain areas off and make little play areas for the kids, my eldest asked for trampoline but I will have to level the ground off first grrrrrrr.

Not sure how property insurance is handled in the UK, but here, having a trampoline can be a cause for increased liability insurance (some insurers will even drop you if there is a trampoline related claim filed against). Not to mention once the neighborhood urchins find out... never been worth it IMO.

A trampoline? Hope you got a hospital close by...

You guy's sure know how to dampen spirit's :P

It's not a definite but I doubt I will have one anyway due to it taking up too much space, she can have a pogo stick.
