Is it possible to disable the menu fade effects?

I'm running SlingFront on a Zotac Zbox, but alas the graphics chip doesn't seem to handle translucent graphics over video very well. It is possible to have a menu setting to disable the fade effect on the menus. If it is possible with a config file or registry entry that is also fine with me. As it is I can see the redraws (sometimes a second or more) over the video.. It works but isn't wife friendly.. ;-)

I'm using similar hardware (nano XS AD11) and I got around it by using the 'Stop' functionality when the stream is playing to stop the stream and return to the UI.

It'd be nice to have an option to make it work more smoothly though, I agree.

Ill look at adding a setting. Is it just when it is overlayed over the video playing or all fade effects?

For me it was mostly an issue when the menu overlaid the stream - it would be very sluggish even just using the arrow keys to highlight each box in the UI.

Once the video was stopped the UI was sufficiently responsive.

I agree, the problem is when the menu is overlaid on the stream. Being able to have an opaque background or just 'no fade' would improve the sluggishness noticeably.

It is strange because I assume the graphics card can do graphics over video so it may be because the slingvideo decode is SW/ActiveX rather than full native.
