Try downloading the install file instead of using update and install over your current installation. This will not overwrite your setup so no worries there. If still having an issue, please attach a copy of your complete log.txt and gameex.ini files in reply to this thread.

OK, I am at a loss since it seems that it is crashing before it can even start to load the executable. I think I am going to elevate this one.

it almost seems that is doesnt find my GameEx.ini file. Maybe it has something to do with my GameEx folder located at "C:/Gameex" and not in program files.

A month or so ago I updated to version 12.98. While most things still worked, my Nintendo 64 and SNES game lists would show the games, but you could not select them to play (the names were "blue", not white). So, I updated to version 13.01, and now I get the message attached to this post in my log. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jombee, I went ahead and merged your thread with another with the same issue. Thanks for attaching your files. I will make sure that Tom takes a look at this as soon as he can.

Hi Draco,

Thanks! I updated by directly downloading btw, then installing over version 12.98. When I go back to 12.98, everything works fine.

Hi, I do need a full log to log to look at please. For some reason I get an access error when trying to read Jombee's. Perhaps a forum bug? Could you please repost? Thanks.

Tom - from what i have seen this is the extent of the log they are able to post. It is as if GameEx is failing to initialize and generate a complete log file.

OK thanks Mike and sorry for the issue guys. I suspect I did not catch this as I didnt test the version on XP. Please try the attched replacement gameex.exe.

Thanks.

Tom.

Hi Tom,

I'm using Win 7/64, should I still try this?
