Yes to both and quite successfully. Pretty much any emulator, especially with command-line support.

Cool, how does it work with newest Mame ? Does it check for available roms can it show different type of screen hots, like cabinets, marquees, flyers, titlte ?

Um, yeah. Have you read the info on the main site or any of the FAQ's there as well? I would start there.
