Hello everyone!!!1

i am back,

And i have been busy!!!!!!! its all almost complete and do i have some treats for you all as promised!

However i have a small issue.

After installing my Corsair h100i (Yes a water cooled arcade machine)

It required me to install a net.framewaork (think it was 4.0) and now gameex wont load, black screen then nothing.

Any ideas for trouble shooting.

System

Windows XP64

1100wat Antec

6GHZ Dual core 775 at 21deg full load

8gb Hyperx Ram

Asus Rampage x48 Formula

2x HR-05 SLI IFX Chipset Cooler Southbridge and Northbridge

h100i cooler with modified custom bracked to fit 775 as its unspoorted!

Radieon HD4890 with Hack Drivers

Arcade VGA3000

Two Gcards you say???

I would go through the list in the log.txt errors and confirm as indicated:

awesome Gameex will load 1/12 times rest of the time it just crashes log doesnt read any errors what so ever.

new HDD is in the machine as i wanted a backup of my roms. (so HDD is not the issue)

Ram has been tested.

Has a new graphics card in it.

New install of Windows 64 Genuine no cracked fully updated....

can anyone shed some light?

if i load the setup and get to configure input setup crashes......

really lost here guys can somone help?

Since you have made these changes, please provide a new copy of your gameex.ini and log.txt file immediately post crash. Thanks!

perfectly no hiccups.....

Any ideas i really dont wanna have to reinstall and go to linux and change everything as i love having 7zip abaility and being able to run windows games aswell

The only thing I can think of is that it is because you are running WIn XP x64. I know that, not necessarily with GameEx, but other applications that this version was problemativ for driver and application support.If you have done all that you can to update your drivers, checked out your RAM, ensured that you have the latest .net framework and DirectX installed, I am stumped. Have you checked your Event Viewer to see if there are any other apps or drivers that are generating a warning or stop errors about the same time as when the crashes occur? I noticed in a few of your error logs that it indicated Sound disabled... are your audio drivers the most recent/up to date?

Hrm appears to be a net runtime error, ill uninstall and reninstall it see what happens.

Just wanted to chip in something here. I notice the directx error is from Direct Input not Direct 3d. That would indicate an issue with a keyboard or game pad. So try messing with that stuff.

Hey tom i have uninstalled my Ipac,

the unit does not have a keybaord or mouse connected to it i am not sure where to go from here.

I had this same issue before the reintsall

Well Tom you are one smart cookie.

I sat back and staired at the machine and i noticed that there was one usb device left hooked to the machine.

The Corsair h100i has a direct USB header on the baord i removed that and everything is running fine.

It appears that there is an issue there with that....

Is this a Windows issue or a Gameex issue

Any thoughts on where to start!!!

Thankyou so much guys i am so stoked i dont have to use linux or hyperspin GAMEEX for life!

I am not really sure to cause but glad you got it sorted. All I can say is based on what I've seen even in 2013 USB can be a strange beast and on a separate note I've personally had various issues with USB 3 with various motherboards.
