I have 12.98 installed. Before this update everything worked fine whether it be MP4, FLV or AVI. I thought I just had to reboot the first time I installed but I have been really playing with this today and it is not working.

Example:

I load up my favorites and it plays the video for AD&D Tarmin which is in MP4 format. I move the list down one to APB and it plays that snap video which is AVI. After that NONE of the videos will play INCLUDING APB unless I reboot the entire PC. Exiting and re-entering GameEx does not work.

It seems when I change extensions it stops working. Going from an AVI to AVI seems to be ok.

The files play outside of GameEx at all times no matter when I try them - before and after lockout.

I updated my Shark007 Codec pack to 3.9.3 after this started and it did nothing to help.

Any theme I switch to does it as well.

I cant duplicate the issue here with win 7 and shark. Could you please post the log with the issue happening?

It might also be worth trying the download again if you have not already. There were a couple of updates.

The logs above are from when I was getting errors.

Before I started this thread I had reinstalled GameEx as an update(overwrite) and it didn't fix the issue.

Since that didn't work and you recommended a re-download I ended up backing up my config and theme directories, uninstalling GameEx and doing a clean install. That seems do have done the trick. Most of my settings are still there. Just a little tweaking and I'll be back to normal.

On a related note - but something I never noticed before because I guess it never worked for me - I am suddenly getting weather updates on my home screen. Must have been corrupt since day 1?

Thanks for the help! :)
