Draco1962
Odd. OK, let's take a few steps back. This is the PC that you just had fixed and you reinstalled everything. Are you running GameEx as Administrator and have you checked the admin rights to the GameEx folder to ensure that there are no restrictions? Is GameEx installed on the root (i.e., c:\GameEx\) or under c:\program files (x86) or the like?
Krakerman
Yes to all the above C:\GameEx folder is where it is located.
Draco1962
OK, since the log file is not giving us much info, have you checked Event Viewer in Windows as previously asked when this has occurred?

headkaze
I think this issue might be because I switched to Visual Studio 2010 last version or so. Please try 12.83. Thanks.Probably a silly question but when you upgraded to VS 2010 did you make sure you were still compiling for x86?
Draco1962
@HK - are there any runtime redistributables (VC++ 2010) that are installed with the update? Taking an uneducated stab in the dark here.
Tom Speirs
Probably a silly question but when you upgraded to VS 2010 did you make sure you were still compiling for x86?Yes, of course I just mentioned it because I thought it handled the compiler directives differently and was not trapping exceptions. ie GameEx was in debug mode. All is fine here though.
Tom Speirs
I don't want to piss you off Krake but from I can see this is a two page support topic without a full log file posted. I wanted to check the GameEx version number but was unable to.
Krakerman
Here it is . I don't you asking me for a log is unreasonable or would piss me off 'T. I just hope you can find what is causing this to happen and squash it. I did notice in my theme editor that Show background image was checked and I unchecked it and so far I haven't had that crash last night or today but I am just reaching and hoping it is something that simple. I will let you know if I get another crash.
Tom Speirs
Thanks. Just to rule it out could you please download the current version from gameex.com and install over the top. Thanks.
Krakerman
Will do I just posted another log as I just got another crash! Soon as I opened my mouth.
Tom Speirs
Could you see if the issue happens with GameExtender turned off.
Krakerman
Ok Will report back!Ok I disabled GameExtender and everything seems to be working ok no crash or black screens. Will keep it off thru the night and keep testing. Are you thinking it might have something to do with that?
Krakerman
So far no crashing with GameExtender off. You might of narrowed it down....I've tested more times and I have no crashes to report when I disabled GameExtender. I am starting to think GameExtender maybe the culprit. Krakerman
Ok Tom still no crashing up to this morning and I turned of GameExtender like you said. So it maybe there is a problem with GameExtender.
Adultery
I dont see this issue anymore and I use GameExtender, so I don't think that's the issue TBH.EDIT @Krak:Are you still working some strange circles to get all your monitors to work as mentioned before? Maybe that has something to do with this?
Krakerman
No the monitors are working ok again. I had the black screen happen even when I re-downloaded like Tom said too, but when I disabled GameExtender then everything started working ok for me. Kinda sux because I need to use GameExtender. I will re-enable and see if it crashes.
Krakerman
Ok so far no crash ... after re-enabling but will see for how long.
