Krakerman
I have been getting GameEx crashes now that say No JIT Debugger Found!
Tom Speirs
Cant research of fix anything based on that report Although these type of crashes are almost always related to videos/codecs/
nullPointer
Hi Krak. Might want to post a few more details about the circumstances that precede the crash(es), as well as a log (naturally).
Krakerman
The log says nothing but Tom might be right about the codec thing. Seems like it happens when when a video plays but it does it at random thou. GameEx reports nothing but I get a system JIT No debugger found type error. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't very strange. I re-installed my codecs but that doesn't seem to matter.I don't post the log when it appears GameEx never even detects there was a crash to begin with as the log says nothing. Draco1962
Have you looked at your logs in Event Viewer? Right Click Computer, Left Click Manage, then locate the Event Viewer under System Tools. You may be able to find something useful to help you nail down the error.
headkaze
Can you do an Alt + Print Screen of the error message?
Krakerman
When and if I get it again will get a snap of it with fraps
Adultery
I've seen this too lately. And sometimes I get a GameEx stopped working error before my preview video shows. Lemmie go get the event log for it.I've been dealing with it myself... but I have def seen the same error without JIT that he's talking about also. It's been mostly just "GameEx has stopped working" for me though. This has been happening but it doesn't bother me cuz it usually loads right up the next time. Krakerman
Yes I get that at first then after a minute I get another window that shows what the system is. Sounds like we are getting the same error. Thank goodness I'm not the only one that gets these things. Sometimes it seems like noone else ever gets any of these wierd crashes or they just don't report them.

Tom Speirs
I think this issue might be because I switched to Visual Studio 2010 last version or so. Please try 12.83. Thanks.

Draco1962
This doesn't appear to be the full log file, can you upload it please? Also, have you checked your event viewer under the Admin Tools within Windows to see if there is an application error logged for the date/time the crash occurs? Adultery
That's a DB error there. I used to see the same behavior right after the move to the new DB system, but it's working for me now.
nullPointer
I think Adultery is right. On what version of Windows are you experiencing this error Krak, and what .NET frameworks do you have installed? How to determine which versions and service pack levels of the Microsoft .NET Framework are installed
Krakerman
Win 7 x64 with all the latest .net updates. (Every system update I installed so I am currently up to date with .net as well)
Krakerman
How do you fix a DB error?[update] I erased all the cache files that I could find and re-ran GameEx and it cleared that database error from my log. For now.
Adultery
BTW... I'm pretty sure emu 1000 was Daphne... Could be MAME also, but pretty sure it's Daphne anyways.
Draco1962
You are correct - 1000 is Daphne.
Krakerman
Why would it randomly cause DB errors? btw my log was all that there was Draco it was cut off I guess as I looked thru the entire log. WHen I cleared the cache's and re-ran GameEx the log was complete again, but I found no errors in it.
Draco1962
Odd indeed. Not sure unless there is something in your Windows that GameEx is not liking. Have you checked that Event Error log I mentioned?
Krakerman
Looks like I keep getting these database errors at random times. It is always "Not Restoring Emulator Database From Cache: 1000"
Draco1962
Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall Daphne?
Krakerman
Of course, but the error always reverts to the same database cache. When I delete those cache files and re-boot my system it seems to work again until I get a system crash again sometimes it doesn't happen for days then out of nowhere crash. I don't think it has anything to do with Daphne it seems like it's happening with GameEx ... the same issues that Adultery is having too. The funny thing when I get the crash the screen goes black and I lose my desktop wallpapers on all my monitors and you can still hear the video playing but the screen is black and you have to ctrl+alt+delete and close down GameEx. Sometimes you can shutdown GameEx from the system crash dialog. When I looked it the GameEx Data folder there where 4 or 5 cache files for emulator 1000.
