[RESOLVED] Emulators Not Loading

Hi guys, just looking for a bit of help with a problem.

When I try and launch an emulator, GameEx fades to black, however the emulator does not load at all. GameEx is still running, as you can move the mouse and hear the buttons coming in and out of focus (pressing Esc exits GameEx).

This happens with all my emulators, and they all have Show Desktop enabled.

I looked through the forum but could not find a solution.

Hiya Sax - you may need to give us some information first. Please provide us with a copy of your gameex.ini and log.txt files. They are located within \gameex\config\ and gameex\log\ paths respectively.

Um... no its not.

An important distinction to make is that your log will be overwritten every time you run GameEx. Typically when you're experiencing a problem like this you'll want to start GameEx, reproduce the problem, and immediately post your log before running GameEx again.

We'll get you set right, but we need the log to reflect the error before we can determine what the issue is.

Um... no its not.

I guarantee that it is. If I delete the log file it does not regenerate. I'm also confused as to how I installed the software 2 days ago, but the log was apparently last modified 3 weeks ago.

Even after uninstalling the software and trying to run an emulator after reinstall, the log does not reflect this (as shown above).

As I finished writing this, I had a thought on it - I feel like an idiot for not realising sooner. Apparently all I had to do was change my security settings to run GameEx as an admin! Thanks everybody for helping me guide my thought process. It was such a simple error, I feel bad for wasting people's time. Haha
