Mame not showing all games

Been using GameEx for a while now and have never been able to get it to show all my Mame roms.

I currently have the full 0.146 romset verified with clrMamepro. I dont have any filters set and gameEx is configured to show all games (as far as i know) but after updating the list it only shows 10,409 roms even though I have 19,368 in my roms folder.

Could somebody take a look at my GameEx.ini and see if im missing something.

The issue with GameEx not showing all MAME games is due to the filter. You would have to open the Mame Advance Settings in the Setup Wizard and add the rom names (e.g. mk, mk3, etc..) into the "do not filter these roms" (lol I think it says that -- I'm away from my cab right now, but its something along those lines)

After you update your list after placing the rom names you wish to include, it should show up in the list in GameEx.

Also, keep in mind that GameEx is going to filter out all mechanical games (fruit machines, pinball machines, etc) and this is not modifiable.

dude thats normal.... even if you have 19.368 roms. i can imagine where you got your set and your collection is so complete, that you even have the roms for games wich are not working and this is no joke. if you disable the clones, you will have approx 3500 games... this is absolutely normal. as far as MAME development progress, you will have the roms at your fingertips, if you watch the place where you get your roms carefully in the future, you will only need to download the update-packages to be up-to-date.

so dude, you dont miss a thing and GameEx works normal.

for the remaining approx. 400 games you will need to have the CHDs too, its not only roms where MAME games belong to .

Ah didnt realise the pinball/fruit machine roms are filtered , that explains a lot ;-)
