How to change view in Simple Mode?

When i switch to simple mode the view settings are different from when i was in standard mode. Is there a way to change view in simple mode? I like my standard mode the way it is with one exception which is I would like to remove the left to right menu. The simple mode accomplishes this but like i said the view is different, more specifically the games don't show up as lists but rather snaps.

Hi 8trek,

Have you tried changing the image list display settings in the setup wizard? I cant recall how things work exactly but those settings may come into effect when using simple mode. Otherwise the view should just be the same.

Thank you Tom, that solved that issue however now I'm seeing snap background images in my favorites, most played, and last played but not in regular lists like mame and daphne. My choice is to not have snap backgrounds and would like to disable in those mentioned but after looking at the config I appear to have it set correctly as evident by the lists not showing backgrounds. Any idea?

There is a setting on how to display the snap too. ie background/snap mode. Did you check that is set correctly?

i have an option regarding that which is set to black background. It's strange because it seems every list has it's own thing going on, some i fine with and other i'd like to tweak. More specifically...

Mame list shows no background, fine with that.

Daphne list shows title background, fine with that.

Pinball list shows cabinet background, fine with that.

Favorites list shows a zoomed in image of the snap (i believe that's what it is), would like to make it no background.

Most played and Last Played list show other background of like the flyer or something else.... would like to change these as well.

You should be able to go into normal mode and set things how you want then return to simple mode.

This is also something you might have to in the Theme Editor. Basically, open the editor, scroll through and choose your screen from the top list, click somewhere on the 'work area' so that the red box is the background... meaning... you highlight the background.... go to the 'open' button, and point to the background you want to use... if it is supplied with the theme. If not, you can make you own (hard to do unless you have/know how to use Photoshop/Gimp), or use the default backgorund supplied.
