Hello,

I was trying out my MAME Attract videos and they all play, but they are really choppy. They are in AVI format.

Everything else in GameEx works great. Nothing else is slow or choppy.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

What videos are you using, wher'd you get them from?

What sort of system do you have?

I got the complete set from the torrent. It's a private torrent and they play fine.

My set up is a 2.0 ghz P4. 1gb ram. ArcadeVGA card through a CGA monitor displaying GameEX at 640x288

I would go to add/remove programs and remove all the codec packs you've installed. Then try installing fdshow again. It's hard to know what codecs are being used when you install pack after pack.

Also, when you say "private torrent", does that mean you can't share it with others? I wouldn't mind trying out some of these video's myself.

sounds to me its the divx versions of mame movie clips

you can get from pleasuredome and its not private but just a ratio site/tracker

I did get them from Pleasuredome.

I'll trying deleting and reinstalling the codes tonight.

OK, so I removed all of the codecs and installed FFDSHOW again. Once again the videos stutter while playing and they are displayed upside down.

I removed FFDSHOW and reinstalled the XP codec pack.

I'm back to stuttering videos but at least they are right side up.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
