[3RD PARTY APP] Windows 7 Boot Updater

I wanted to shell Windows 7 but, at the same time didn't. I decided to tweak with somethings here and there and found a nice proggy called Win7bootupdater. Basically it gives you the freedom to create a custom windows boot screen. Searching the interwebs I found some cool ones. I took one and changed some things on it to match Draco's Space Invader's theme. Here is the finished product (it's animated too). Feel free to try it or modify it as you wish.

And btw, its animated so the Invader guy moves his little invader guy legs up and down. Kinda cool imo.

Cool! I just started using a DeskScape custom desktop and skinned the logon screen on the cab, and this will go really nice with those! Not that anyone sees the desktop or the bootscreen, but I will!

From what I have been reading not that difficult. Just a few pixel size and total # of frame restrictions. I can use GIMP to create the frames needed for my animations and I believe you can also convert and use just about any kind of animation clip.

The first thing I thought of was you creating an opening animation of "Jumpman" Mario running on a girder and jumping barrels.

It's pretty easy. Once I find the right looking logo, I'm gonna make a rotating GameEx logo.

OK, must be that "turning 50" thing as I don't see how to create a new animation with this program. I can load existing, however, that is about it. I checked his site and it is a bit lacking in details.

So how do you do it?

To create the .bs7 file you can either use 105 image files (like what was used for the one I did) or you can use one of the converter programs to change an avi to a group of pngs. For the one I used, it's actually only 2 images, copied and pasted 105 times then opened in the program and converted to a .bs7 file.

I got lysdexic and did 150 png files after converting a gif animation. It will only use the first 105 anyway so nothing tragic.
